The municipality has given much
importance on the healthy expansion of
sports and cultural activities. Since
1995, the Municipality has been holding
sports and cultural 'Festival' every
year. Students from more than one
hundred schools both primary and
secondary, and local clubs participate
in this big festival, thereby installing
special encouragement among the youth of
this urban society. A sports complex
will be set up near Kamalgazi. A modern
auditorium of 800 capacities will add
momentum in cultural activities, since
the existing one, Dasumati Bhawan can
hardly cope with the rising demand.
